Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines

1. Keep reports accurate and useful
- Submit reports that reflect what you observed or reasonably believe occurred.
- Provide clear descriptions, location context, and relevant details when possible.
- Do not submit jokes, fabricated encounters, spam, or misleading information.
2. No harmful or illegal content
- No threats, harassment, or incitement of violence.
- No posting of personal or identifying information about others.
- No instructions or encouragement for illegal trespassing or unlawful activity.
3. Protect data integrity
- Do not attempt to manipulate sightings, clusters, or analysis results with false submissions.
- Do not automate submissions or interfere with system performance.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to restricted or administrative areas.
4. Moderation and data control
All submissions may be reviewed before appearing in the Atlas. We may delay publication, request clarification, edit for clarity, reclassify, or remove content to protect dataset quality, system integrity, and user safety.
Use of this platform is a privilege. Repeated abuse, manipulation attempts, or violations of these guidelines may result in removal of content or loss of access.
5. Research use
This platform is intended for research and informational use. User submissions contribute to pattern analysis and may be used to improve system models and outputs.
